Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment. -- Matthew 9:22
i felt crappy new year's eve. my aunt called to tell us they've rushed my grandmother to the hospital. it turns out her cardiologist changed her medication, and "miscalculated" the dosage. my pediatrician-aunt said we could sue. anyhow, thank God for lasix. i cant wait to see my grandmother. only for her would i travel to the west coast (and that's saying a lot for this east coast-cleaving gal). i cant wait to hug my grandmother who always smells of apple blossoms; cant wait to kiss the creamy, porcelain-smooth skin; cant wait to show her i've inherited her flair for fashion. i havent stopped praying for her and believing that God is in control.
I feel pretty Oh, so pretty I feel pretty and witty and bright And I pity Any girl who isn't me tonight I feel charming Oh, so charming It's alarming how charming I feel And so pretty That I hardly can believe I'm real now that the holidays are over, what to do? what to do? extreme makeover or out-and-out make under? hmmm... i'm quite positive gyms and spas will be inhabited by buffs, dieters and other resolutionists. i give them 6 months tops (unless they're doing it for health reasons). on being beautiful -- just look at this babe, 96 years young and gets to start a new career in modelling.
Irene Sinclair, a Guyana-born pensioner living in London, is appearing on billboards around Britain this month, wrinkles and all, to help sell Dove, a popular brand of facial cream. "I've never felt beautiful in my life, but I feel I am now," said Sinclair, quoted in the Daily Mirror newspaper Tuesday. "It's all about growing old gracefully." Her secret? "I don't stay indoors," she said. "I try and get fresh air as much as I can by going for walks."
